I think that coral reefs are special to the earth because many animals live in coral reefs and if coral reefs got destroyed so would the animals that live in them. I like coral reefs because their are cool fish that live in them. I also like all the other animals that live in them. I think that people should care more about the environment. If there are garbage cans anywhere beside coral reefs people should throw their garbage their instead of the coral reefs.

Impacts

The impact of trawling is that the coral tares out of the ocean flore and the fish loses their habitat. The impact of poison fishing is that the coral and the fish get hurt and destroyed. And the ocean becomes dangerous because of the dynamite. The impact of over fishing is that will be no more fish.

• don't put weights in a fishing net.

• don't use dynamite to fish.

overfishing:

• fishers can fish but release them back into the ocean.

There are many animals that live in the coral reefs like Sea horses, Blue cheek butterflies, Star fish, Azure sponges, Flatworms, Triton's trumpet snails, and Plankton. If there were no coral reefs these animals would have nowhere to live.

keep the coral reefs clean!

Dumping garbage into the coral reefs is bad because some garbage is chemicals like Mr.Clean and toilet cleaner. All coral reefs are beautiful if they are not polluted.

over fishing

Over fishing can harm coral reefs by taking all the fish because of fishing too often.

Poison fishing

Poison fishing is bad for coral reefs and fish because when fishers poison fish they put dynamite in the ocean to bring the fish up to the surface. Dynamite destroys coral reefs and fish.

Trawling

Trawling is bad for the coral reefs because it's used with a net which tears the coral out of the ocean flore. Trawling is when fishers use a net with weights to catch the fish.

There are more than 2,500 coral reefs. The anchors dropped from fishing boats can break coral homes. The coral reefs are up of many different types of coral. For example Brain coral, Leather coral, Mushroom coral, Fire coral, and soft yellow coral. The coral reefs are often crowded with fish. Coral reefs are very delicate. Coral and fish are what makes up a coral reef. Coral reefs have been around since the dinosaurs. A lot of coral reefs around the world are being harmed.
